She and her father used to sing it on Christmas; they sang it in the car on the way to their annual special Christmas dinner, they sang it on their way home from the restaurant and they sang it while watching the fireworks on New Year’s Eve, a cup of hot chocolate in their hands. Now the song only reminded her of him and it brings her so much pain. But she refused to surrender to sadness, and so she turn her head towards the cashier and mumbled angrily to no one in particular. ]
