Lily’s sitting in one of the back armchairs, fully engrossed in one of the books she’d brought from home. James’ calling of her name catches her attention, though, and she sets the book aside, smiling at him.
“Of course I am. Promised you, didn’t I?”
She pauses.
"You seem a little bouncier than normal today. Everything okay?”
”Yeah, Everything is fine. Amazing. Care to join me for a walk?“
He asks with a wide grin, and holds out a hand. He just wants to spend some time with her before the match, that’s all.
Lily tells herself she’d have said it to anyone, and while that was true, it wasn’t quite the same.

It’s only 11 am in the morning and the match is 3 hours away but he’s excited, and kinda worried. Normally he doesn’t even think about it but today, there’s so much at stake, isn’t there? So, he makes it to the common room, his eyes searching the redhead.
James yelled at his co-worker in the kitchen as he left his apron on the counter, already grinning. He carefully took the paper-bag which included— Lily’s favourite muffins -blueberry, of course- and two sandwiches for both of them. Taking the coffees as well, he left the small café, making his way to the library, where the girl would be on Tuesdays. It was almost a routine now, a routine that he enjoyed quite a lot. Sometimes he was afraid that he was bugging her, well, his friends told him many times that, Yes, James you are. But she didn’t hate him that much, did she? He hoped not. Especially the last few days at the campus were amazing. They chatted, she was into the conversation… -basically it was everything that James would want. The smile on his face got wider and he found himself in front of the library in no time. Deciding not to worry too much about it -like always- he got inside the building.
“Lily!Where are you?”
The boy spoke cheerfully, maybe too cheerfully because it gained him a ’Hush!’ and disapproving looks from a grumpy old lady. No matter that he wasn’t apologetic at all, he mouthed ‘Sorry’, still grinning. Spotting the redhead, he climbed up the stairs quickly and plopped into the chair next to her.
