“ You know how rusty I am, when it comes to potions, but you can always try to get Sirius or Pete to do it. I’m sure it’ll be a long mourned accident, should such a mishap occur”
"Yeah, I don’t know, I’ll ask Sirius about it. And it definitely should. It would be so much fun.“
“ Well it certainly is a lot safer, but it’ll take a longer time to prepare, because we, and by we I mean you, have to brew an additional potion. And we need a day where the launch will be empty. ”
"Do I have to make the potion? Oh well, let’s hope that I do something wrong and accidentally make all of the teachers sleep for a week.“
Mumbling something about betrayed brotherhood and common sense, Remus picked up his wand to get his tea to float to his duty. Some Earl Grey would certainly calm his nerves.
“Any idea what it could’ve been, Doctor Prongs? Or does your nurse, Mrs Black have any clue, since she first made the brave discovery.”
"What? Uh- I have no idea mate, maybe it was just cranberry sauce?“
“Oh thats very calming. .Can you at least tell me that it’s not etching a hole into my cheek? ”
Catching he handkerchief midair, he tried to swipe it over his face, without spreading the ominous intruder. As he looked down at the stain, he discovered, that it was some brown tinted fluid, which smelled of mistletoe.
“ Is it all gone? Did i miss anything? “
"I’m sure you’d notice if it was etching a hole in your cheek, Remus. Plus, I’d wipe it myself if that was the case. Don’t worry.“
James shook his head, he couldn’t help but let out a little laugh at his concern.
"Ta Prongs. Please tell me it’s nothing poisonous.”
Frantic fingers tried to find said hidden object, as he prayed to Merlin, that it wasn’t a droplet of some unfinished potion, brewed for their next prank.
"I don’t know if it’s poisonous or not, Moony. But you should probably clean it before s o m e t h i n g happens. Here you go.“
He threw his handkerchief at the other, a small grin on his face.
